“Casting Scarlett Diaz in the pivotal role of Mary was another inspired choice. Not only has this young actress fully internalized the role, with its range of complex emotions and motivations, but shows a preternatural vocal maturity and stage presence that sets the high standard maintained throughout the production.”
— Our Town, May 2012

“The Secret Garden” is a delightful musical and the producers , Penny Buccafuri and Jim Guarasci, have brought together an outstanding cast of singers and actors ... augmented by little Scarlett Diaz, who holds her own with all the grownups (and) in the end received a standing ovation ...”

SHREK THE MUSICAL,1st National Tour

"As seven-year-old Fiona, Scarlett Diaz is absolutely exceptional. Making her professional debut, Diaz sings with diction and tone maturity beyond her years.”
— Broadway World, October 2010

“The cast was spectacular and amazingly talented with flawless performances. Surely, when young Scarlett... dreamt of performing on Broadway, images of green ogres and the odd characters of Duloc didn’t enter their minds. Yet, (Scarlett has) found a way to make even the strangest of characters look good. I was impressed."

"Keep an eye out for (this) ambitious girl ....  beautiful and pretty, not to mention talented ... no doubt that (this) talented little lady will make her way beyond Far Far Away…”
